About Us
Blades Insolvency Services is an independent insolvency and business recovery practice that has been trading for thirty years offering specialist advice and services principally to SME’s, family- owned businesses and individuals.
The directors of the practice are Philip Brooks and Julie Willetts who are both licensed practitioners and who between them have over fifty years insolvency experience. Both previously worked for large national firms and smaller independent practices, providing a wide range of insolvency experience gained in a broad spectrum of business sectors.
Our policy has always been to offer a partner-led service so that advice is provided by qualified, experienced professionals who will also, when relevant, undertake the day to day management of formal insolvency appointments.
We aim to give prompt, relevant advice to identify solutions and provide an understanding service in times of financial challenge.
Corporate
Running a business is seldom straightforward and there are any number of problems that you may experience.
We offer advice and assistance for directors, business owners and companies that are experiencing financial difficulties. These challenges may develop slowly and might be due to changing markets or a change in technology or they may arise suddenly, for example as a result of bad debts, a lost customer or because of tax liabilities. Whatever the reason they will impact on cash flow and need to be addressed.
Seeking professional advice when confronted with a crisis or potential crisis is of paramount importance. Talking to a business recovery specialist can bring a new perspective to a situation and may provide the clarity for you to see a way forward.
The sooner you seek advice the more options you are likely to have. We are licensed insolvency practitioners and business recovery specialists. We may not have all the solutions and we do not offer advice on matters we are not equipped to deal with but, where necessary, we do have access to a network of professional contacts who share our values and who will be able to provide the relevant advice.
You cannot alter what has occurred but you can decide what happens next and there may be more options than you think.
We can guide you through those options and provide you with advice to meet your specific needs that will help you deal with the cause of the problem.
Personal
Regrettably, more and more individuals are, for a variety of reasons, having reason to be concerned over their finances. Whether it is due to personal guarantees as a result of a business failure, or unforeseen events such as redundancy or a change in personal circumstances you require sound, practical advice to give you the information and clarity to address your financial problems and to plan for the future.
As a firm of licensed insolvency practitioners we understand the stress and worry that financial problems bring and we have assisted many people in dealing with their personal financial problems, providing clear advice and suggesting strategies to identify a route forward.
We will consider each case on the specific facts with no preconceived agenda or ideas and provide a summary of the options and their respective merits that are available to you.
